A political commentator and journalist from Pakistan named Shahid Masood presented the discussion show "Live with Dr. Shahid Masood" on Gourmet News Network (GNN). He became well-known thanks to his ARY series, "End of Time." He has held the positions of senior Executive-Director for ARY Digital Network and Group Executive-Director for Geo TV.

Dr. Shahid is an experienced and skilled journalist with many years of experience. His journalism career has been rife with disputes and accusations. He has been subject to multiple PEMRA bans at which time he was prohibited from appearing on talk shows.
Despite becoming a doctor, he made a career in journalism because he enjoyed it. He has since joined other TV stations and has continued to switch between them. He also held a position at PTV, however while there he was accused of corruption.
He had a political career as well, serving as Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gillani's special assistant with the rank of State Ministry.

A Pashtun-Kakazai family is his lineage. His father was a civil engineer who spent fifteen years working in Saudi Arabia, while his mother was a teacher by trade. His early years were spent in Taif and Riyadh.

He started to be connected to the media in 2001. He began his career working for the ARY Digital Network, a private channel, as a senior executive director. He served as the director of ARY News (ARY One World) and was the host of the show "Views on News."
